Gaming is one of the most flourishing industries of the world today. Hundreds of people develop a game and thousands purchase it to play. This industry is growing so well that the income generated by a best selling game could be higher than the gross public income of a third world country. However, you can still earn a lot even if you know nothing about developing a game. Game testers do not have to be highly qualified; even a college or school drop out can do this job.
Video-game developing companies all over the world want to be sure that their games are appropriate before launching them in the market. Due to the ever increasing competition, this is an obvious requirement for game developing firms. Hence, arises the need for game testers. You can take up game testing either as a freelancer or as a full time employee. If you want to make game testing your career, there are few things that you should know:

This requires you to do some research on your own and will help you increase your knowledge.
· Have Knowledge of Different Software:
As a tester, you should know how to test software. It means you should be friendly with different types of software because different games use different software. This will help you in landing up with a game tester job for both computer and video games. However, it is not easy to have knowledge of all the above mentioned points. If you are serious about taking up a job as a tester then you can take some classes in order to learn the skills that you will require to become a successful game tester.
